The Mid-Atlantic States Association of Avian Veterinarians

The Mid-Atlantic States Association of Avian Veterinarians (MASAAV) is a professional organization dedicated to addressing the continually changing needs of the veterinarian for knowledge and awareness of the issues relevant to avian medicine and surgery for their nurses, technicians, clients and patients.

• MASAAV is a forum for promoting the use of innovative, progressive medicine and surgery to improve avian welfare.

• MASAAV is concerned with preventive and rehabilitative medicine as it applies to avian pets, breeders, flocks, and wildlife.

• MASAAV recognizes that each bird species and its environment has both unique and common characteristics. This organization continues to celebrate the importance of professional fellowship in maintaining up-to-date knowledge levels in avian medicine and surgery.

• An Annual Conference on Avian Medicine and Surgery, a published conference proceedings and periodic newsletters provide continuing education and information to members.
