Kerri Cooper-Bailey, DVM

Graduate - Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine

Dr. Cooper joined VCA Smoketown Veterinary Hospital in June of 2009. She enjoys small animal practice, especially feline medicine, fracture repair, and dentistry.

During her free time, Dr. Cooper enjoys fishing and falconry. She is currently considered a long-winger and her husband is an eagle class falconer. Together they breed several species of reptiles. They currently own reticulated Gila monsters, albino western hog noses, grey-banded king snakes, and in the past bearded dragons. They have their own “mini-zoo” of pets including two cats named Precious and Munchkin, gerbils, and freshwater fish.

She has a special interest in exotic animal medicine, especially birds and reptiles. She has a background in exotic, wildlife and zoo animals.
